Plug Culture:Requires light for germination. Cover seed lightly with vermiculite after sowing. From Stage II moderate soil moisture levels. Stage III: Gradually lower temperatures to 21-24 ˇăC and lower soil moisture levels. Stage IV: Temperatures can be reduced to 18 ˇăC. Transplant plugs as scheduled and do not let plugs get root bound.

Media:Use a well-drained media, pH 5.5-6.5

Photoperiod / Light:Day neutral, but a light summation flowering response. Higher light levels promote shorter, better-branched plants with larger flowers.

Temperature:Grow at 20-24 ˇăC. Avoid temperatures below 10 ˇăC

Fertilization:Moderate to high fertilization levels are required. Fertilize the crop weekly with 100-150 ppm nitrogen (2 kg/m3 slow release fertilizer in substrate), using a complete and balanced fertilizer. Avoid high ammonium and high nitrogen levels. Take care of the phosphate level in substrate.

Cultural Hints:Before transplanting a fungicide treatment against soil-born diseases is recommendable.
